Product Tracking with barcodes

The PASS system tracks boxes or containers of product such as pallets or roll cages. It also handles both commodity type product or tracking of individual items with serial numbers like TVs.  The software operates in real-time and provides reports either by product, by location or by activity.

The barcode data terminals can either be portable or fixed depending on the application. In the picture an Erwin Sick fixed point scanner is being used to automatically log cartons of products as they move along a warehouse conveyor. This could be used in goods in or despatch, quality control, production line jobs or stages.

Barcode label printing is embedded in the system so that any serial number or item id number can be printed/reprinted simply by selecting its product code from a drop down list on screen.

Portable barcode printing is also available using the portable terminal to drive a battery operated belt mounted printer.
