Internal Mail Tracking with barcodes.

PASS Locator Mail enables internal mail to be tracked across multiple sites and has been developed for large organisations such as NHS Trusts where mail is sent between doctors surgeries, pharmacies, wards and other departments within the hospitals.

The hospital and ancillary services such as ambulance units, health care centres, doctors surgeries etc are continually sending confidential and secure documents between the multiple of sites that comprise the NHS Trust complex.

Polylopes with unique barcodes pre-printed on them are used to package the mail. As each item is collected the drivers of the vans or the internal mail couriers use a portable terminal with integral barcode scanner to scan each their badge then the item code on the polylope.

At the delivery point the recipients badge is used to confirm receipt. All the sites are linked to a central database and they can all track the location of an item. If an item gets lost there is a complete audit trail of all movements of the particular item so that its last known location can be traced.
