Using PASS Label for Barcode and Price Labelling
Pass mobile label is an application running on a PDA driving a portable printer. Several labels can be held in the PDA memory and design or redesign can be done without the assistance of a PC.
The design of the label is usually set up beforehand on the PDA and can include barcodes, price information, shelf edge details or promotional data. The label designs are selected as appropriate, depending on what the operators job is on a given day.
Some examples of usage would be temporary price reduction labels for end of day pricing of unsold produce. A second label format could be held in the memory for promotions with a variable price field to be entered by the operator at the time of print. All the products are downloaded to and held in the memory of the PDA and automatic discounts can be applied to the standard product prices. There is no limit to the number of labels stored in the handset.
