Operating Systems

PASS barcode tracking software runs on Microsoft Windows XP, and all later Windows operating systems. The minimum installation requirement is 500mb free hard disk space and 250mb RAM with a Pentium 3 processor or similar.

Network Topography

The Enterprise version of PASS products will work over Windows Terminal Server, Citrix and can be networked and run over VPNs and leased lines

Database engines

The default database is Microsoft Access. It is not necessary to have a copy of Access to run the software. For heavyweight applications other database templates are supplied namely SQL Server (min version 2000), MySql, Sybase and Oracle.

PDAs

We support most Pocket PCs with Win CE 4.2 , Windows Mobile 5 or Windows Mobile 6. operating systems - for example Motorola/Symbol, Intermec, Opticon PDAs among others, and the full range of Cipherlab PDAs.

Tethered Scanners

These can be either Serial or Wedge type

Real Time

Short range wireless scanners are supported as well as 802.11 environments. Landline modems or GPRS can be used for data transmission from the PDAs to the central database.

Label Printers

All thermal and thermal transfer printers that have a Windows 2000 or later driver are supported. For example Datamax, Zebra, Intermec etc.
