Map your barcode data with S-Link.

S-Link is a tool that enables barcode scanners to populate multiple fields in an application from a single barcode scan. Here are some examples of how it can be used.

Work in progress with barcodes

Job sheets are scanned with networked scanners on the production line transmitting data to a remote PC. For example a Quality Control pass or fail or completion of the part of the job can be set up to update the transaction log and Finished stock adding date ,time and user code.

Testing items with barcodes

A wireless or tethered scanner scans a test and then a result without a PC present and this is mapped into a database or spreadsheet.

Goods in and dispatch with barcodes

The movement of goods is recorded as they pass a scanner point where PC input is impractical. This logs the goods as received and updates the stock records.

Testing on automatic production lines with barcodes.

A series of automatic tests is recorded with barcode scans at a test station, logging the count of passes and failures. The data is transferred to the remote PC in real time.

Form filling with barcodes

The prefix and suffix features of the barcode serial scanner are used to tab through the form in predefined sequences where an ordinary wedge scanner would only be able to move to the next field.
